Abstract
The presented paper describes a mathematical model for estimation of an arterial compliance by vibrational photoplethysmography technique. The first section of the article describes non-linear viscoelastic properties of the arterial wall. Furthermore, the second part of the paper specifies interactions between the arterial segment and measuring cuff. The viscoelastic model was created for the purpose of arterial compliance experimental research and computer simulations of parasitic effects that might occur during measurement.
