It is a very well prepared diploma thesis, the student uses adequate scientific methods and can interpret her findings. Formally, however, the outline of the thesis differs somewhat from the official assignment. Question: Can CSR strategy be considered a competitive advantage of companies, exactly what?

Author set for herself a rather challenging objective to analyze and evaluate a cosmetic company's CSR as a measure of potential competitive advantage. She took upon this task successfully and the goal of the thesis was fulfilled. A very good introduction into the problem was provided as well as the explanation of the research. I especially appreciate author's dedication to the topic that was noticeable both in the comprehensive historical and modern theory review which resulted in specifying the CSR definition for the purpose of the theses, and in the construction of a unique research methodology used in the analytical part. However, the scope of the analytical part makes the research sometimes difficult to follow as well as the interpretation of the results. The formal and linguistic aspects of the work are in order and adequate to the content, but there are several grammatical errors and typos to be found. It is my opinion, that the author delivered a very interesting study of a modern issue in the context of specific environment. I consider the use of the value chain analysis with the potential social impacts to be the strongest aspect of the paper, along with the added value of online survey regarding the knowledge of social and environmental issues. After careful consideration, I recommend the grade B.
