Mr. Gall's aim in writing his thesis, 'The Juno Mission to Jupiter', was to focus on the exploration of Jupiter by completing these goals: mentioning and briefly detailing pre-Juno missions to Jupiter, describing the Juno mission itself and giving a detailed description of the spacecraft and the instruments used to investigate Jupiter along with the Jovian system. And after reading his paper, Mr. Gall accomplished these goals in a very good way. The author clearly did a lot of research for his paper as was clearly shown in his bibliography. He provided several pertinent figures, illustrations, graphs, tables, etc., to back up his written work. Jiří sometimes could have given a bit more explanation of his tables (e.g. Table 1 on p. 29), but overall he provided everything needed to desribe his research on the Juno mission, and in a very colorful manner too! Unfortunately, what prevents me from giving Mr. Gall an 'A' for his work was his grammar where too many mistakes appearin the paper. The irony is that his grammar lapses does not prevent the reader from understanding his work, but it was strange the kind of errors he made for a 3rd-year student. In chapter 2 the writer often confused the present and past simple when it was clear it was the 'definite past' (e.g. the second paragraph on p. 9). Jiří had trouble with 'articles' throughout the paper, had problems with linking sentences in his Introduction, and had some errors in spelling and typos too. Finally, in the opening paragraph of Chapter 3 on p. 12 he used the Czech way in writing the weight of the Juno spacecraft--it weighs 3,625 kg, not 3.625 kg! Despite what has just been written in the preceding paragraph, I still have to give this paper a very good mark because Mr. Gall's thesis was both interesting for those who like reading about the planets in our galaxy, and he definitely deserves a 'B' for his effort since he completed the requirements for a Bachelor thesis.
Pan Gall předkládá obsahově velmi zajímavou a čtivou práci o misi sondy Juno k Jupiteru. Práce je logicky uspořádána, neopomíná historii výzkumu Jupiteru a zabývá se nejen přínosy mise, ale rovněž podrobně popisuje fáze letu, komunikační schopnosti sondy a její přístrojové vybavení. Obsahově hodnotím práci velmi kladně. Po formální stránce práce obsahuje veškeré předepsané náležitosti. Seznamům tabulek a obrázků by však prospělo lepší formátování, totéž platí o seznamu literatury, který je obsahově bohatý, ale nelze přehlédnout nejednotné řádkování a nadbytečné mezery. Asi nejzávažnějším prohřeškem je na str. 10 v posledním odstavci tučně vytištěná věta “Chyba, nenalezen zdroj odkazů”. Poněkud nechápu, jak ji mohl autor při korektuře přehlédnout. Práce je psaná formálním stylem a autor používá správný pojmový aparát. Po gramatické stránce je práce relativně nevyvážená a zejména v první třetině se vyskytuje nemalé množství, bohužel dost závažných chyb v časech, slovosledu chybějící podměty nebo chybně utvořený pasiv. Bohužel tyto chyby dost výrazně snižují jinak téměř vynikající práci. Práce, dle mého názoru, splňuje nároky kladené na bakalářskou práci, student zcela splnil zadání, a proto ji doporučuji k obhajobě a hodnotím známkou C, 78 bodů
