The submitted dissertation thesis is focused two dimensional signal spreading and its key parameters and dependencies on other features in modern wireless communication chain. The research method adopted in this dissertation includes a development of Matlab based simulators which exploits a statistical approach to show a contribution of proposed algorithms. The proposed algorithms and two dimensional spreading systems are incorporated to LTE simulator developed by the Vienna University of Technology. This brings comparison of achieved results with the state-of-the-art systems. You can find 5 journal papers, 11 conference papers and 13 citations connected to his work, so the kernel of the dissertation was widely published. Jiri also spend 3 months on research stay at Vienna University of Technology working on LTE simulator. I really appreciate the work done by Jiri within his PhD study, and I fully support his candidacy for the PhD grade.
