Abstract

Současná podoba okolí Obilního trhu, náměstí s parkem situovaného v blízkosti brněnského centra, není bezproblémová. Především se na ulici Údolní, mezi tramvajovou zastávkou a budovou Kanceláře veřejného ochránce práv, nachází nevyhovující parkoviště a torzo řadové zástavby v nevyhovujícím stavu. To vše je vadou na kráse, již reprezentuje park na Obilním trhu a lesopark přiléhající k hradu Špilberk. Tato práce místo parkoviště a zanedbaných budov do proluky při ulici Údolní zasazuje budovu Kanceláře ochránce práv dětí – instituce, která má být v České republice brzo zřízena ke kontrole postupu úřadů, ale i jiných institucí, jež svou činností mohou zasahovat do sociálního a právního postavení dítěte. Řešení je koncipováno jako moderní, otevřené a udržitelné. Svou ideou i konkrétní podobou naznačuje, že s otevřenou náručí vítá děti, jejich rodiče, ale je zároveň příjemným místem pro zaměstnance, kteří každodenně realizují pravomoci instituce. Mimo samotného „úřadu“ budova a její okolí nabízí parkovací možnosti, prostory pro komerční využití i pro dočasné ubytování. Její vizuální stránka vhodně dokresluje okolí plné zeleně a ruchu společenského života.

The current appearance of the surroundings of the Obilní trh, a square with a park situated nearby the city centre of Brno, isn’t unproblematic. Above all, on Údolní Street, between the tram stop and the Office of the Public Defender of Rights, there is an inadequate car park and a torso of a terraced building in an unsatisfactory condition. All this is a flaw in the beauty already represented by the park on the Obilní trh and the forest park adjacent to the Špilberk Castle. This work places the building of the Office of the Defender of Children's Rights - an institution that is to be established in the Czech Republic soon to control the progress of authorities, as well as other institutions that may interfere with the child's social and legal status instead of parking lots and neglected buildings. The solution is designed to be modern, open, and sustainable. With its idea and concrete form, it suggests that it welcomes children and their parents with open arms, but it is also a pleasant place for employees who implement the institution's powers daily. In addition to the "office" itself, the building and its surroundings offer parking, spaces for commercial use and for temporary accommodation. Its visual side suitably illustrates the surroundings full of greenery and the bustle of social life.
