Časopis Elektrorevue byl založen v roce 1999 za podpory Ministerstva školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy. Jeho úkolem bylo prezentovat výsledky vývoje, vědy a výzkumu z oblasti nejnovějších trendů a technologií využívaných v elektrotechnickém průmyslu, včetně objasnění principů, na kterých jsou založeny. Záměrem redakce bylo, aby časopis přispíval k šíření výsledků vědy a výzkumu mezi vědeckou a odbornou veřejnost. Články schválené redakcí vycházely v pravidelném intervalu dvou měsíců.

Časopis Elektrorevue ukončil v roce 2023 aktivní činnost.
