Abstract

"Představte si, že hledáte záchytný bod, který objevujete a vzápětí ztrácíte." Objekty funkcionalistické architektury jsou dekonstruovány prostřednictvím nové vrstvy a proměňují jejich „funkční“ prostory. To co vidíme a očekáváme, už není to, co ve výsledku dostáváme: Přebudování zažitých sekvencí, narušení jejich uspořádání, vytváření prostorových zkratek, nebo naopak dlouhých perspektivních sekvencí, které je nutné projít k dosažení cíle znamenají nové objevovaní (psychologického) prostoru. V návrhu nejde pouze o prostor samotný ale o pohyb pozorovatele, který v něm nalézá celou plejádu zkušeností jako je vlnění, naklánění, pocit rozpaků, izolace, dezorientace... nikdy nevíte co přijde dále. Stejný úsek lze procházet pět, nebo padesát minut, opuštěný, nebo sdílený s množstvím lidí. Může poskytovat pocity absolutního štěstí, ale může přinést i klaustrofobické chvíle. Jedná se o způsob jak zakoušet rozdílné vnímání prostoru a času. Cílem je ztratit z obzoru stereotyp každodennosti a nabýt intenzivního vědomí svého fyzického i psychického „bytí“ ve světě.

The subjects of functional architecture are deconstructed trough a new layer, therefore changing their "functional" space. What we see and what we expect to see is no longer what we get. Reshaping of expected sequences, disruption of structures, shortening of spaces or lengthening of their perspective sequences all of which are necessary to walk through to reach the desired destination, these are the means which help us discover new (psychological) spaces. It is not only the layout we need to pre-examine but also the movement of the observer who finds him/her self going through numerous feelings such as waving, tilting, embarrassment, isolation, disorientation, etc. never quite knowing what comes next. One section can be gone over quickly or in length, individually or shared within a group. It can bring about intense feelings of both happiness and claustrophobia can occur. It is simply a matter of experiencing time and space in different ways. With the intention of loosing the stereotypical, the everyday, and acquiring awareness of the physical and psychological existence within the boundaries of our world and beyond.
