Abstract
Paper describes the possibility to control unipolar stepper motor from PLC using cheap microcontroller ATMEGA328P and 16-Bit I/O expander MCP23017. First is described the driver and explained the principals of I2C serial bus. Further is described microchip MCP23017 and it’s registers essential for this work. In the end are shown examples how to programm the controller via enviroment Arduino Studio.
