Trenčín – vitalizácia priemyselných zón

Abstract

Priemyselná architektúra hrala v meste Trenčín významnú úlohu pri formovaní mestského urbanizmu. Po aktívnej industriálnej ére sa však priemysel dostáva prevažne za hranice mesta a nevyužívané areály v jeho centre sa stávajú bariérou k jeho ďalšiemu rozvoju. Snaha mesta o redefinovanie svojej kultúrnej a historickej identity však dnes predkladá odlišný uhol pohľadu. Chátrajúce priemyselné areály sa tak môžu nielen opätovne zapojiť do mestského organizmu, ale môžu svojimi hodnotami prispieť k vytvoreniu a prezentácii charakteru mesta.

Industrial architecture played an important role in the city of Trenčin, forming its urban structure. Thou after the active industrial era, the production is being moved behind the border of the city blocking the future city development with its brown fields. Nowadays search for cultural and historical identity shows the brand new perspective of this issue. The abandoned industrial sites can be not only reconnected with the city organism, but can be beneficial to the process of regeneration and redefinition of the city character.
