This diploma work was elaborated in industrial context during an internship at the company Metso, France. The student made a successful optimization of the machining process that is crucial for a future project of workpiece feed automation. Her solution helped to eliminate non-programmed interventions of the machine’s operator and sufficient chip evacuation. Implementation of automatic systems to a CNC machining centre would increase the productivity of the processes. Sufficient chip fragmentation is given by choosing a machining technology and strategy, correct cutting tools and correct cutting conditions for given workpiece material. The student worked with high effort, keen on calculations and experimental works. Mrs. Bc. Veronika Soukupová regularly referred on the progress, read a lot of papers and discussed all particular problems to my great satisfaction. I fully recommend her work to the diploma defence.

The Master's Thesis deals with optimisation machining process of fabrication of components on a turn mill CNC machine at the company Metso in Mâcon in France. It is a very advanced Master's Thesis and processed at a high theoretical and practical level but very extended. Some typographical errors (for example numbering pictures and tables), inaccuracy p. 73 ceramic´s, p. 49 trochoide vs. trochoidal, wrong terminology and unit (kc – specific cutting coefficient-specific cutting force, rotation number rot/min, rev/min- 1/min), worse image quality in theoretical part can be met in the work. The student drew on the materials needed for her work from literary, professional and electronic sources (a total of 82 literary sources), on which she also relies. I recommend this Master's Thesis to the defence.
