Providing Customised Information Panel Content Based on User Behavioral Patterns
(Institute of Automation and Computer Science, Brno University of Technology, 2018-06-01) Pisarovic, Ivo; Prochazka, David; Vybiral, Dan; Prochazkova, Jana
Although mobile applications are commonly using user location and behavior to provide relevant content, public information panels usually lack the ability to adjust the content for a particular user or a group of users. Therefore, we focused on the development of information panels that are able, in combination with a mobile application, to collect anonymous location data about the users, identify key behavioral patterns and provide content that is relevant for the users in the panel vicinity. The key property of our solution is the anonymity of the collected information and privacy in general. The proposed algorithm consists of the data clustering and subsequent analysis. Described solution can be used in any public building or campus that the users visit regularly.

Usability Evaluation of Randomly Generated Fonts for Bubble Captcha
(Institute of Automation and Computer Science, Brno University of Technology, 2018-06-01) Bostik, Ondrej; Horak, Karel; Klecka, Jan
A Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart (CAPTCHA), is the wide-spread concept of systems suited to secure the web services from automated SPAM scripts. The most common CAPTCHA systems benefit from imperfections of Optical Character Recognition algorithms. This paper presents our ongoing work focused on the development of a new CAPTCHA scheme based on a human perception. The goal of this work is to evaluate the usability of randomly generated fonts used in Bubble Captcha scheme with both humans and OCR classifiers.

Robot-Based Image Analysis for Evaluating Rehabilitation after Brain Surgery
(Institute of Automation and Computer Science, Brno University of Technology, 2018-06-01) Kohout, Jan; Crha, Jan; Trnkova, Katerina; Sticha, Karel; Mares, Jan; Chovanec, Martin
After certain types of brain surgery, patients are often affected by changes in both their dynamic balance and facial disorder. Because rehabilitation takes several months, it is important that both doctors and patients are able to monitor progress quantitatively. At present, such quantification is subjective and highly dependent on the doctor’s opinion. Thus, we here investigate the use of robot-based image analysis for measuring rehabilitation. To evaluate a patient’s dynamic balance, we developed a mobile robotic platform that uses a stereovision camera (MS Kinect) to capture a video of the subject walking along a hospital corridor. To evaluate a patient’s facial disorders, the same camera is used in a static mode to detect and capture precise facial movements that the subject is asked to perform. From these videos, specific patterns can be extracted for rehabilitation process description.

Effects of Environment Model Parametrization on Photogrametry Reconstruction
(Institute of Automation and Computer Science, Brno University of Technology, 2018-06-01) Klecka, Jan
This paper is aimed at a description of effects which have assumptions of specific environment structure on quality of recurrently conducted photogrammetry reconstruction. The theoretical part covers the description of three different assumptions of environment structure and mathematical derivation of two suitable recurrent estimators: one based on Extended Kalman filter and the second one based on Maximum likelihood method. The experimental part is introducing simple virtual environment which is observed by linear camera model and then reconstructed using predefined algorithms and assumptions.

Application of Fuzzy Logic for Monitoring of Appearance of Heat Waves in Large Towns
(Institute of Automation and Computer Science, Brno University of Technology, 2018-06-01) Bila, Jiri; Jura, Jakub; Novak, Martin
In the paper are introduced some results of the influence of cooling effect of vegetation on the climate in large towns. The results have been acquired from measurement of some meteorological variables in selected parts of large town and from application of fuzzy models on the prediction of maximum day temperature. Great motivation of the paper is not only course of maximum temperature in standard days but especially the more dramatic situations as is appearance of Heat Waves. Besides the selection of relevant variables and the design of knowledge based system (with application) is performed an approximation operation for knowledge based systém function taking into account the conditions throughout the city.
