Abstract
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá modifikací původního tvaru součásti za účelem co nejlepšího splnění provozních podmínek daného zatížení a omezujících podmínek v programech M.S.C. NASTRAN, M.S.C. PATRAN a FUSION 360.
Deal of this Master’s thesis is to modify original part shape using topology optimization by M.S.C NASTRAN, M.S.C. PATRAN and FUSION 360 software results that will define best fitted and satisfying the operating conditions for defined load and constraint conditions. The part is mounted on an orthotropic plate (sandwich panel). The aim of this thesis is to see the effect of elastic foundation on optimization result. The part will be optimized using different design objectives and constraints. Elastic foundation theoretically will change stiffness and deformation, and this will give the ability to change stresses on the part. Original and modified shape part load capacity will be compared by M.S.C NASTRAN/PATRAN software. After shape optimization, the 3D model has to be prepared for the manufacturing process which will be the most cost-efficient.

Student presented his Master´s thesis within the specified time schedule and answered all questions of the reviewer. Following questions were asked by expert committee about the Master's thesis, presentation and related topics: 1) How were the material characteristics found and optimization performed? Answer: Iteratively process, expressing the numerous sub-results of FEA analyses, focused on cutted flanges that would lead to high buckling. Material properties are after heat-treatment. 2) What were the boundary conditions of the hinge and fastening points to the base structure? Stress concentration - how was solved in optimization set-up? Answer: Very similar effect on the joints as in the original component, stress-concentration was critial in diffrent structural part of the hinge. 3) How was considered the combination of traditional manufacturing with TO - possible other weight reduction with e.g. AM? Where are the weight-to-stiffness boundaries? Answer: Easier and cheaper is conventional milling compared to the metal additive manufacturing. However, AM can be done. Weight can be reduced up to 30 % of the original. Limit was 0.5 M elements in analyses. Student answered well the set of questions.
