Abstract
Diplomová práce se věnuje konverzi zchátralého průmyslového objektu v obci Brněnec. Součástí areálu je Schindlerova továrna, kde stovky židů přežili holokaust. Bohatá a zajímavá historie otevírá dveře nezměrnému množství specifických funkcí, které můžou navrátit areálu určité uplatnění. Kritické je ovšem umísťovat novotvary do původní struktury a kontextu, tak abychom svojí činností naprosto nepohřbili „ducha místa“. Proto se nové objekty postupně objevují až s narůstající vzdáleností od původní Schindlerovy továrny. Dlouho se „skrývají“ za původní obvodovou zdí nejnovější části průmyslového objektu, která si drží výrazný profil po pilové střeše, která zde byla. Hlavním bodem diplomové práce je vytvoření muzea Holokaustu, které navazuje na historii a využívá okolí jako součást své expozice.
This diploma thesis focuses on conversion of run-down industrial compound in the village of Brněnec. Among the buildings in the compound, the most significant is Schindler's factory, which is famous for sheltering and saving hundreds of Jews during the holocaust. This remarkable and intriguing history makes it possible for the compound to be used in countless ways, that would bring this place back to life. It is nevertheless important to place the new structures into the original structure with care, as to preserve the genius loci. That's why the new buildings appear gradually more and more the further away we get from the Schindler's factory. They remain hidden behind the peripheral wall of the newly designed building, which is part of the industrial compound and preserves the distinct shape of the saw roof of the original building. The main goal of this thesis is the design of new holocaust museum, which follows up on the history while taking in consideration its surroundings.
