    The use of products with a monitoring system for remote bee detection in beekeeping in Czechia

    The use of modern technology is becoming part of both industry and agriculture. These technologies can also be used in beekeeping, where they can help to monitor the operation of the hive remotely. Beekeepers can remotely monitor the weight of their hives, their temperature, humidity, and other parameters. The aim of this paper is to map the beekeepers in the use of products with monitoring system for remote bee detection in beekeeping in Czechia. To map the issue, qualitative research using semi-structured interviews was conducted with beekeepers, manufacturers/providers of smart devices in beekeeping, and other entities involved in beekeeping. The findings showed that the interest of manufacturers and sellers to offer these smart devices is significant, but the interest of beekeepers is rather less, due to e.g., the purchase price, weaker IT knowledge, traditional beekeeping practices, higher age of beekeepers and the joy of being personally with bees. The novelty of the paper is not to look at the provision of ICT in beekeeping from a technical perspective, but from the perspective of users (beekeepers) and manufacturers of these technologies. Through interviews with beekeepers as well as others in the apiculture sphere, a comprehensive view of the issue is developed. Moreover, this is the first piece of research on this area in Czechia.

    The Relationship Between Digital Performance and Production of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in EU Countries: Correlation Analysis and ANOVA Method

    Agricultural activities produce the significant amounts of greenhouse gas emission. The importance of an ever-changing climate means that digital technologies and their environmental impact are more frequently discussed in the context of the 5th Industrial Revolution. It is important to minimize environmental threats and reduce production waste on the way to a sustainable path. The main scientific aim of the paper is to examine, based on correlation analysis and ANOVA method, the relationship between two variables, digital performance of individual EU countries expressed by the indicator Digital Economy and Society Index and production of Greenhouse Gas Emissions, specifically how digital technologies affect the environment and how to transform digital technologies to supporting the European Green Deal and accelerate sustainable growth. The reasons are that digital technologies can play an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. According to the results, it has been proven that exists a positive correlation between two variables regarding as a weak correlation between DESI and GHG emissions. Analysis of variance indicates the highly significant differences between variables. Countries with the higher DESI index produce more Greenhouse gas emissions as well but in a weak manner.

    The Importance and Support of High-tech Micro and Small Enterprises and Their Development in the Czech Republic and the South Moravian Region

    Micro and small enterprises provide a large part of employment and are important for the economy. The high-tech sector is defined by Eurostat, and enterprises in this sector heavily use highly advanced or cutting-edge technologies, and the development of their outputs is often combined with high innovation and/or R&D costs. These enterprises can have a large market potential and there is visible support from public, private and non-profit organisations. Over time, we observe a long-term growth of micro and small high-tech enterprises in the Czech Republic and South Moravia. The question is what is their current state of art and what is their prediction for the future.

    Multidimensional model for quantifying aspects of the situation - person – task system

    The article focuses on the specification of aspects entering the domains of cognition, reasoning, and subsequent decision-making in different situations. We assume that each situation event is not localized in a static environment but an environment with changing conditions. The primary purpose is to develop a theoretical model to achieve the operationalization of quantifying personality factors concerning the cognitive domain of the individual in the situation-person-task system.

    Supply Chains Strategies during COVID-19: Green Supply Chain vs. Supply Chain Sustainability

    Purpose of the article During the COVID-19 pandemic in the years 2020 and 2021, supply chains have been heavily affected and disrupted. With the lack of material and the lack of available containers for oversea shipment, a further upcoming issue where the exploding oversea container transport prices. This situation has brought many companies and experts to think about future supply chain deglobalization and regionalization with regard to supply chain risk management and with regard to environmentally friendly and sustainable supply chains. In this article, we want to explore whether this assumed movement and changing of thoughts shows off in increased publication activity combined with the terms of deglobalization with green supply chains and with supply chain sustainability. Methodology/methods: This article makes use of publication data from Google Scholar, Scopus and the Web of Science. Using ANOVA and Levene-test the gathered data is statistically analyzed for the same means and for the same variances of the publications in the different databases. This analysis is conducted on a p > 0.05 significance level. Scientific aim While international supply chains underwent difficult times in the years of 2020 and 2021. In the past years streamingpopular, such as supply chain regionalization and deglobalization, as well as supply chain sustainability and green supply chains assumed to facilitate regionalization. Regionalization and deglobalization might, in times of rising global container prices, further strengthen supply chain robustness and stability. For this, the article analyzes the publication metadata related to green supply chains and related to supply chain sustainability of the named streaming from the global economic crisis in 2009 until the container crisis in the cause of 2021. Findings: The analyzed data show significantly higher publication activities in the green supply chains area than there are for supply chain sustainability. However, the Levene-test further shows that the publication growth rates for both keywords are similar for the combination with the related keywords. A rising interest may be seen with digital supply chains. In combination with supply chain vulnerability and supply chain robustness the publications for green supply chains show an increasing growth in the last years. Conclusions: In this paper, we focused on the data retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science. While the topic of green supply chains and the topic of supply chain sustainability has shown significant growth in publications, there is no evidence for a rise for keywords on deglobalization, regionalization and digitalization. Such significant evidence has been found for long-term risk management and supply chain robustness.
